Launched on April 11, 1970, Apollo 13's mission was to be the 3rd shuttle to land on the moon. Two days later, fate said otherwise.
An oxygen tank exploded and deep in space, the 3-man crew were running out of breathable air, electricity, and fuel. It was a disaster in the making.
But through unbelievable feats of science, divine intervention, and heaps of faith -- disaster turned to triumph as the shuttle landed safely back on Earth on April 17.
The three lives at stake, thousands working around the clock at NASA and millions around the world, all worked together and all believed.
“The whole world prayed." said Jerry Woodfill, a NASA alarm safety engineer. “I saw prayer make a difference during Apollo 13.”
Their story tells us that in the face of challenges, as long as you believe in yourself and keep faith in your dream, nothing is unattainable.
